What is the Videotape?

The video is the reason Torey was convicted. It was the sole piece of evidence that the state had against Torey, and they used it entirely out of context.

Before Cassie Jo Stoddard was killed, Brian Lee Draper made a videotape depicting what two teenage killers would be like. Torey appeared on the video, acting as one of the killers.

This was Brian Draper’s video. It was Brian’s camera. It is Brian controlling when the video goes on and when it goes off. Brian is in control of what he records, what stays on the video, and what is erased.
